Science Borealis began in 2012, when Science bloggers  Maryse de la Giroday, Sarah Boon, Steph Taylor and Raymond Nakamura joined forces with from Canadian Science Publishing, Canada’s not-for-profit science publisher, and Genome Alberta, a publicly funded not-for-profit corporation that initiates, funds, and manages genomics research and partnerships, with the goal of becoming, “ a one-stop shop for the public, media, educators, and policy makers to source Canadian science.â€
