On March 8, 2018 from 10am – 12pm Mountain Standard Time, the Canadian Mountain Network (CMN) and the University of Alberta will host a live webinar to discuss the next steps for advancing this major research initiative. CMN submitted a Letter of Intent in November of 2017 to the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) competition and invitations to submit full applications are expected in late February. The webinar will focus on the next steps for CMN.
The live webinar will include a maximum of 500 virtual spots and a limited number of in-person spots for those who want to participate in the webinar from the University of Alberta campus. Those unable to attend/participate on March 8th can request a copy of the recording following the live broadcast.

About Networks of Centres of Excellence and a potential Mountain NCE
A Mountain NCE would provide sustained funding for enhanced and integrated mountain research in Canada. The NCE will involve all sectors of the mountain community, academic; government; Indigenous; civil society; business, and will be directed at the research activities of the Canadian Mountain Network.
