The Canadian Mountain Network (CMN) emphasizes three modes of research that exist along a spectrum. The CMN approach emphasizes that a deliberate choice be made at the onset of a project by research partners as to which mode best fits a particular project’s needs as well as its contributions to the network as a whole.
The Modes of Research Webinar focuses on Modes 2 (Partnership-driven Research) and 3 (Indigenous-led Research) to educate potential 2018 Preparatory Call for Proposal applicants on the differences and intended benefits of these two innovative methods of research methodology.
